Pre-K Valentine Party, Registering Ella Kate for Kindergarten

We have had a fun February.  We have fully celebrated Valentine's Day with lots of school parties, playdates with friends, and even a visit to the Barnum and Bailey Circus on February 14th.  We also registered our baby girl for Kindergarten this month.  :)  Such mixed emotions about this.  I can't wait for her to experience all the fun of Kindergarten.  We know lots of kiddos and parents at Burruss and I am looking forward to getting involved.  Dave is so excited about Burruss's annual tent campout he can't stand it.  For years we have driven by the school during the annual campout (basically parents and kids sleep in tents around the school grounds) and he has talked about the day when he will finally get to do this with Ella Kate and then John.  But on the other hand our baby girl is going to Kindergarten five days a week.
Here goes some pics of our February activities.

Craft Night #1 Creation.  Some friends and I got together and decided to have a fun girls craft night.  We had so much fun that before craft night #1 was over we had already planned our second one for the very next week.  Very thankful for such a great group of girlfriends :)  Also thankful that they are creative.  I was clearly the slow learner in the group but had so much fun :)  On our first craft night we showed up Pottery Barn Kids and made these cute little felt envelopes for the back of the kids chairs.  Each day Feb 1st - Feb 14th I left little notes/pictures for the kids to find when they came downstairs for breakfast.  Periodically I would even leave little treats too  (i.e. Valentine's books, chocolate heart candy,  Valentine coloring books, new crayons, etc.)  Basically just little fun $1 items that I found as I was out and about.  It thrilled Ella Kate and John to randomly get surprises.  :)
Craft Night #2 Creation - Heart Burlee.  I realize that Burlee's typically hang on your front door but Ella Kate had the idea to hang it above our kitchen table.  Since we already had a hook in the ceiling I gave it a try and really liked it there.  It made our kitchen a little more festive.  :)

Registering our Baby Girl for Kindergarten!!!
Ella Kate wanted her pic taken in front of the school bus!  She wants to ride the bus next year...  What?  My baby girl ride a big school bus all by herself.  Not so sure about that.  I typically run with the kids in the jogging stroller a couple of times a week and one of my regular trails is by the high school.  Well there is always a bus in route it seems when we run near the high school and for the past year she has loved waving at the school buses and telling me how she is going to ride the bus when she goes to Kindergarten.  Not so sure about her riding the bus but very thankful for her confidence in starting school.
Ella Kate and Livie looking quite comfortable hanging out in the hallway at Burruss.
Sitting in on a Kindergarten classroom.  Ella Kate was listening intently to the teacher and did not want to leave the classroom.  She asked me if she could stay.  I am thinking she is ready.
Ella Kate, Livie, and Robert checking out the lunchroom.
It is official!  Burruss has a new Beaver!
Sweet friends.  Can't wait for the next chapter of their sweet little lives.

Now Preschool V-Day Parties :)
One day when I am assigned to bring fruit for one of the kids Valentine's Parties I will just bring something simple like grapes :)  Ella Kate and I made heart fruit kaboobs for her V-Day party at school.  I was so happy when her little classmates seemed to really like them.
Since John is in the toddler class they do not have parties that the parents can attend. :(  But I did send in lots of Dunkin Donut heart shaped donuts for his class to have as a Valentine Snack.  I thought these were the cutest things.
Ella Kate has the greatest Pre-K class.  All of the kids are friends in and out of school and so are all of the parents.  Love it!  The cute little plate of food they had for their party.
My sweet girl at her V-day Party
Love these love banners they made as their craft during the party.

Bella Claire's dad did an awesome job with the game!  I was so impressed!
 Little Munchins.
 One more cute group shot!

 Love this little girl.

Pajamas and Pancakes.  This was the cutest play date idea ever!!!
Sweet Laura invited a group of little girls over for pajamas and pancakes.  All the little girls came over in their pj's and she made a little menu for them to choose what type of pancakes they wanted.  Love it! While Ella Kate was at this fun playdate John had his own little playdate with Brant, Lee, Sammy, and James but I am so sad to say that I did not get any pics of those sweet little boys.
Wynn, Rebecca, Mary Caroline, and Ella Kate.  I was missing Livie and Bella Claire in the pic.
 Silly faces.

Next we made a quick trip to B'ham to visit Nana and go to cousin Logan's 5th Birthday party.  When we got in town Friday afternoon we met up with Nana and made a trip to Build a Bear.
Ella Kate and John rubbing their hearts.
Ella Kate choose Hello Kitty and John choose a Tiger.
John thought it was hilarious to give his Tiger a bath.

 So proud.
Ready to head to church Sunday morning.  It was a fun, busy weekend in B'ham with lots of playtime with cousins.

Daddy Daughter Date Night

Last weekend was Chick-fil-A's annual Daddy Daughter Date Night and this year was extra special!  Dave and Ella Kate were lucky enough to have dinner reservations at the same time as some sweet friends - Mary Reese, Ali, and Rhodes.  Ok well us momma's might have coordinated it a little for them :)  Dave had a great time with his special lady and it was fun to have friends to share the experience with.

Not to be outdone by the Daddy's us momma's had our own little double date night at Marietta Pizza Company with our little men.  Fun night for all.

Dave and Ella Kate went on a little shopping trip to Target after their date and she came home with a new purse and sweet Ella Kate even picked out a new football for John.  Once the family was all home we put on our pj's, popped some popcorn, and piled together on the couch to watch Madagascar 3.  We all got in bed a little late but it was a fun family night!!!

This little girl is truly a Daddy's girl and Momma's girl!  She is so sweet and thoughtful!!!  Love her and so happy she got special time with her Daddy :)
This little boy is so precious to me too!  He is my little man :)
Ohh that face.  Wish these two would stop growing so fast.  Everytime I tell Ella Kate to please stop growing she tells me -  "But Mommy, God made us to grow."  Smart girl!
So excited to go on her date.

She was so proud of the "ring" Mary Reese gave her as a v-day surprise.
The boys out on dates with their mommas.  Love these sweet friends!

Next up, was a Daddy Daughter Dance at her ballet school.
