First trip to PCB of the year.

We went to Panama City Beach last weekend with Papa, Lele, Aunt WaWa, and Uncle Jason. We had such a good time and Ella Kate loved all the attention.

Ella Kate being silly sitting out by the pool after swimming.
Ella Kate is such a little character. Papa told her to smile so she put her arm around Daddy and gave this face. I love it!! She keeps us laughing!!

Ella Kate and her PaPa.

Ella Kate and Mommy playing on the beach. She loves the swimming pool but did not want her toes to touch the sand. Aunt Wawa finally got her to walk on the sand which was a miracle. Laura and Jason took Ella Kate for a walk down the beach and when they left Laura was carrying Ella Kate but when they came back Ella Kate was happily walking on the sand. It must be Laura's nurse powers :)

Ella Kate and LeLe helping Daddy fish on the beach.

Miss Priss laying out on the beach with her swim backpack trying to talk Papa into taking her back to the swimming pool. When she wanted to go to the swimming pool she would say "Swim Class." Ella Kate takes swimming lessons and absolutely loves them. She can swim all by herself with that little backpack on her back which is honestly not much help. Right now the backpack has 4 panels on it and as she gets to be a stronger swimmer we will slowly take off a panel until she is doing it all by herself. I just love her swim class and teacher. They have taught her so much. She can climb out of the pool by herself with the "elbow, elbow, knee, knee" approach, and she loves jumping and going underwater.

She loved the tent on the beach Papa made for her.

Ella Kate and Daddy walking down the pier to check out the fishermen.

She was quite interested in all of the fishing.

My little swimmer swimming all by herself. She is quite a little kicker.

Easter and Ella Kate's Big News

We went to B'ham for Easter and had a great time. My Mom and I made our traditional Easter Bunny Cake and Ella Kate loved, loved, loved dying Easter Eggs. However I think she almost gave Nana, who keeps her house spotless, a heart attack. Needless to say Ella Kate wanted to "do it by myself." She would color on the eggs with a crayon and then "throw" it in the cup. She also liked to sometimes have two eggs dying in 1 cup at the same time. It was so fun to watch her.
Ella Kate brushing her teeth and being silly while getting ready for church Sunday morning.

Ella Kate's "cheese" face.

Ella Kate and Daddy after she broke her big news with her "Big Sis" shirt to most of the B'ham family at the Easter Egg hunt. For those of you that do not know Ella Kate will be a big sister in November!!! We are all so excited!!!
Very proud of her "Big Sis" shirt. When we ask her if she wants a brother or a sister for a while she would only say "Boy" then it moved to a sarcastic "Naaa" (one of her favorite words b/c she always gets laughs) but her recently she sometimes says "Girl"

She was a very good Easter Egg hunter.

Pulling Daddy along.

I can't believe I did not get a picture of all the little cousins. I got tons of video of everyone which I will post soon but evidently no pictures. Oh well, I guess video is better anyway :)

Miss Priss pretending to drive Uncle Wendell's fun golf cart. I love scooting around their neighborhood in that thing. Such fun!

Zoo + Ella Kate's Conversations

We have made a couple of trips to the zoo this spring with friends and had so much fun! Ella Kate loves seeing the animals but I think she has the most fun just hanging out with friends. She is my little buddy these days and I love having conversations with her. The below pictures are of the trip we made with Mrs. Julie and Caroline.

Some of our recent conversations with Ella Kate:
1.) Dave was working in the yard planting a vegetable garden and Ella Kate and I were cheering him on. Ella Kate told him over and over in her sweet little voice "Be Careful Daddy" "Don't Worry it will be ok."

2.) Ella Kate was climbing the brick stairs on our front porch and Dave was standing close by just in case she fell. She told him several times to "Go Away Daddy do it by myself." Just as Dave was about to correct her for telling him to go away she looked him straight in the eye frustrated and said "Be Nice Daddy."

3.) She constantly tells us "Ella Kate do it by myself."

4.) She loves to tell people "See ya tomorrow." "Thank you so much." "Have a good day." "Don't worry." "Sorry, it will be ok." "Ella Kate really tough." "Hi ya boys."

I know that there are so many more phrases she often says that I just can't think of right now. I love her little personality and Dave and I laugh at her all the time b/c we are just amazed at some of the words she knows and says. I just don't know where she learned them all.

Her new favorite things are little mermaid and Minnie Mouse. I think we are starting to get over Barney - Thank Goodness!!!!

Ready to go to the zoo!!!

Easter Portraits

We got Ella Kate's portrait made this morning with the beautiful Easter Dress that her LeLe made for her. The dress also comes with a matching bonnet, purse, and babydoll but Ella Kate decided that for the pictures she would just keep in simple. She was such a little angel getting her pictures made and Nana took her to the toy store afterwards to pick out a toy. She choose a little purse with a dog that she calles JoJo. She has been walking around petting the dog saying "Good boy." I just love that beautiful, sweet little girl! Happy Easter.
