Dear Ella Kate,
I fixed you a scrumptous dinner with veggies, fruit, and chicken. You hardly ate a thing and just wanted a cookie which I would not give you b/c you did not eat your dinner. However I just caught you eating dogfood and when I took it out of your mouth you cried. I think you actually liked the dogfood. Go figure. Well I washed your mouth out anyway.
I love you daughter dearest but please, please stop eating Sally and JoJo's food. :)
Sincerely,
Mommy

15 Month Check-up and North GA State Fair
Ella Kate is now 15 months!!! Time flies! We had her 15 month doctors appointment last week and did great. She is 31.75 inches long which puts her in the 90% for height and weighs 20.3 lbs which puts her in the 15% for weight. I promise I feed this child but she is oh so very busy. Even the doctor laughed as she was running around the exam room - he told me not to worry about her weight that she had probaly burned off 200 calories in the 30 mins we were at the doctors office. :) Which was probaly true. As far as her developmental milestones she is right on track and talking some in English and tons in her Ella Kate language.
Below are some pictures of our recent adventures.Ella Kate loves shoes. She can say the word shoe and she tries to put them on herself and then says "awt" b/c she always wants to be outside. This picture was taken just a few minutes ago as she was squealing "awt." What you may not know is that we had already been on a jog on the mountain and playing outside all morning. She is her Daddy in a little girls body and just wants to be outside with Sas (our dog Sally).
Such a little princess.

Imagine It Childrens Museum & Sesame Street LIVE
This weekend was so much fun!!! It all started on Friday morning when I decided to take a Pilates class at Healthplace. In the past when I have taken Ella Kate to the nursery at Healthplace I have been called out over the loud speaker to come get her b/c she would get so upset. As you can imagine this is pretty embarrassing. :) Well maybe "school" is helping her with separation anxiety b/c I was able to attend a 75 min Pilates class and when I went to the nursery to pick her up she was playing and all smiles. Such a great way to start off the weekend! After Pilates class we walked across the street to Atherton Place where Great Grandma Elliott lives for a little visit. Great Grandma pulled out all the toys and Ella Kate had fun playing! Friday night we took it easy and cooked dinner at home.
Saturday morning we met a good friend and old co-worker from UPS, Sarah and her little boy Aidan, at the Imagine It Children's Museum in Atlanta. I had never been to Imagine It before but we had so much fun and I can't wait to go back. They have so many fun activities from fishing, story telling, Dancing, Painting, etc. I got some pictures but honestly we were so busy that it was hard to snap pics. I was just trying to keep up with Ella Kate and Aidan. Ella Kate got to paint for the very first time and she did not quite get it but it was fun watching. At the museum they have a huge whiteboard and they give each child a smock, paint brush, and the parent gets an egg carton with paint. Well Ella Kate decided to eat the paint (don't worry it was non-toxic), and she thought it more interesting to paint me, herself, and the floor rather than the whiteboard. Thank goodness it all washed off with water. It was all over her clothes but after a little spin in the washing machine all was clean.
Saturday night Ella Kate got another fun treat and got to hang out with Miss Jennifer, Elle, and Matthew while Dave and I attended a dinner party.
Now what would be the end to such a great weekend? Yep, 3rd row tickets to Sesame Street Live - Elmo Goes Green!!! It was so much fun!! Ella Kate did great and really enjoyed it. The only thing she did not like was when Telly came up to her and tried to give her a hug. She was Daddy's little girl during the show and clung to him pretty tight. I was clapping, singing, and excited so I think she did not feel secure with me like she did with Daddy. Dave was laughing after the show when I said well what did you think. He said well, I was entertained for about 20 mins, Ella Kate was entertained for about 40 mins, but oh you were entertained the whole time. He just loves to make fun of me but I must say I did have a great time and I know he did too :) Dave was a sucker and bought Ella Kate the $15 glow in the dark toy but he drew the line when it came to the $8 Elmo balloon. :) After Elmo we had lunch/dinner at On the Border and Ella Kate was an angel. Up until well today Ella Kate has been horrible at restaurants. But today she sat in the booth (no chance of her sitting in the high chair) colored, ate like a big girl, and we all enjoyed lunch/dinner.
It was such a fun weekend and I am so thankful to have a happy, healthy little girl and wonderful husband to enjoy these fun times with. I love you both very much!!!
Well enjoy the pictures. Ella Kate and Aidan at the Imagine It Children's Museum. Ella Kate found the box with the balls. Big shocker :) That child loves balls.
Balls - hands down her favorite thing.

New Playground at Papa John's and LeLe's
Ella Kate is one lucky little girl. Papa John and LeLe have built a playground at their house for their grandbabies (Ella Kate and Josh). Ella Kate just loves it!!! Papa John and LeLe's house is so fun for the grandbabies. Between all the toys inside, the new playground, and the fun tennis court aka Ella Kate's b'ball and kickball court it is heaven for a kiddo. I will post a movie soon that I took of Ella Kate playing basketball and kickball on the tennis court. She loves anything that involves balls. :) Below are some pictures from last Sunday afternoon playing on the playground. Papa John standing in front of the playset that he and Don Dorsey built. The bag of balls is the finishing touch needed. Instead of a sand box there is a ball pit. So much fun.

GrandMother's 99th Birthday Party
Today we celebrated Grandmother's 99th Birthday!! It is always fun getting together with the B'ham family and today was extra special to celebrate such an awesome birthday. Ella Kate was not feeling well and was running a fever but she hung in there and was a little trooper. This is sweet Ella Kate's 2nd real fever ever and I just hate it when she is not her happy little self. By the time we got back home to ATL she had a fever of about 102 but after a bath and more meds her fever broke and she is now sleeping soundly.
Below are some great pictures of the family we took at the birthday party today. GrandMother, Mom/Nana, and Aunt Helen
Denise and Wesley engaged in some serious lawyer talk :) Tina in some just as serious conversation with Miss Presley and Whitley (sweet sisters in matching dresses).
My cousins Wanda and Wendy. I just love all of my fun cousins :) Wanda and I are only 9 months apart and we have had alot of fun over the years :) Oh the stories...
