Ella Kate had a Great First Day of School

Tuesday was Ella Kate's first day of school and it was a success. Dave said that when he dropped her off she gave him the monkey hold for a minute or two but then got down and starting playing with little Cameron. Dave said once she started playing she forgot all about him so he scooted out. LeLe said that when she arrived to pick Ella Kate up that Ella Kate looked up at LeLe excited to see her but then continued to play. I was thrilled that she was not in a big hurry to leave and was having fun with her new friends! However..... Ms. Elizabeth did tell LeLe that Ella Kate cried when they put her in the 4-5 seat baby stroller to go out to the playground. Ella Kate does not like to be "confined" anyway and I think a stroller that big probaly scared her. The director of the school walked Ella Kate around and showed her some fish in the fish tank to calm her down. If the only crying that occured was b/c of the huge stroller I say the first day was a success. Ella Kate even came home with projects. She colored a beautiful Bert and Ernie picture and put stickers on another one. So very impressive. I am proudly displaying them on my refridegerator. Dave did a great job at making the first day of school special for me - he video taped it!! Such a good Daddy!!

Those two had glitter everywhere!!! And after they finished their homework Dave gave Ella Kate a magic carpet ride on the sheet with all the glitter. I think our downstairs may have glitter in the cracks forever :) Oh well they did have fun.

They carried the bear to the kitchen to shake off extra glitter.
