Introducing the little Rooster

Ella Kate is the cutest little Rooster ever for Halloween this year. The below pictures are from EK's school fall festival this past Sunday. She had fun at the festival. She got to play basketball, jump in a bouncy thing, and... well we made a trip to the crafts area. I am not exactly the craftiest person ever but I was trying to participate and make the scarecrow and candy corn necklace like everyone else. Let's just say mine was turning out so bad I was trying to cheat off of a 5 year old. I mean it was awful. Dave said that it was to advanced for me and that I did not have the patience to use Elmers glue:) Ella Kate please get your creative genes from the Elliott side of the family. The Johnson genes have much to offer but creativity is not one of them :) The cute little thing under the Rooster costume.

She was quite entertained walking up and down the bleachers.

Playing in the Toddler area. I could not believe that she wore that head. It was like she knew she looked cute so it did not bother her.

Giving orders to Daddy.

So proud of that balloon.

Vocabulary

Dearest Ella Kate,

Your vocabulary is growing like crazy and you are quite a little talker. I wanted to take a second to write down again a list of words that you are saying at 16 months.

Up, Down, Cold, Hot, Car, Socks, Shoes, Bow, Teeth, Nose, Eyes, Ears, Mouth, Hair, Two, Duck, Book, Monkey, Dog, JoJo, Sas for Sally, Moma, Daddy, Nana, Papa, More, Cheese, Ball, Hello, Hi, Bye Bye, Dog, foot, Hat. I know there are more that I just can't think of at the moment. You are just a little sponge and are trying to repeat just about anything we say to you. You love your baby dolls and are such a good little mommy. You still LOVE balls and are taking an interest in cars now too.

Below are some sweet pics of you.

Taking care of your baby dolls. We have several little chairs that are your size and you love to sit in them to take care of your dolls and read. You love books and often "read" them aloud. You are a good little singer too. At night when I put you to bed I always sing you a song and you sing right along with me. Mommy loves it!!!

I really need to take a picture of ALL the many many precious outfits that your LeLe has made you. She makes you the sweetest clothes and you are just the perfect model. The pillow case dress in the above picture is one of my favorites!!! At your school they have spirit days where all the kids where the school t-shirt. The smallest t-shirt was a size 3/4 but we got you one anyway and your creative LeLe took it apart and made it into a pillow case dress with a matching bow of course. It is so cute and you were a hit at school!!!! Thanks LeLe

Pumpkin Patch

Nana came in town a couple of weeks ago so we all went to a pumpkin patch. Ella Kate loved the pumpkins - especially climbing on them. After the pumpkin patch we went out for bar-b-que. It was a nice and relaxing afternoon.

Such a friendly little thing.

First Trip to Chuckie Cheese

Well you know life is changing when you spend your Friday nights at Chuckie Cheese and Love every minute of it!!! Yep, Dave and I took Ella Kate to Chuckie Cheese tonight and we all had a blast.

Playing b-ball with Daddy.

Riding in a Monster Truck. Chuckie Cheese has a toodler section and Ella Kate loved riding all the rides. She got the hang of it after a while and would just climb right in and wait for Dave to put in the quarter. So cute.

Playing Skee Ball with Daddy.

Ok she really shocked me with the carousel. I was a little nervous to let her go but Dave assured me she was fine and she was. She loved it. I think we rode this at least 3-4 times.

The princess carriage was her all time favorite. It is funny how little girls just know about princesses. She did not want to get out of this carriage. We rode this ride many times.

Of course we had to bring out baby doll along for the ride.
