Our baby girl started Kindergarten a few weeks ago and many tears have been shed by this mama. :) 8am - 3:15 is a LONG time to leave your baby girl at school. The good news is we LOVE A.L. Burruss and we LOVE Ella Kate's teacher. Ella Kate handled starting Kindergarten like a pro. She walked right in and never looked back.
Every morning I make Ella Kate a note for her lunchbox. We are now in week 3 of Kindergarten and this afternoon when I took her lunchbox out of her bag she looked at me and said "Hey Mommy, do you want me to show you a secret." I replied, "Yes, of course." She then opened up a hidden zipper in her lunchbox and showed me all the notes I had made her. She has been saving them :) Ohh how I love that sweet angel.
Love how sweet she writes her name.
Love her cute water bottle. Thanks so much Meredith for making this special for Ella Kate.
Back pack on and ready to go.
All ready to rock her first day of Kindergarten! She looks so big.
Love it that John planted a kiss smack on her lips.
Baby John (who is not really a baby anymore) wanted to go to Kindergarten so bad. When we dropped Ella Kate off the first day Ella Kate was fine and excited to see her friends, I was trying my hardest to control my tears until I got back in the car, and John totally lost it and had a melt down when he realized he was not getting to stay with Ella Kate in Kindergarten :)
Love that we can walk to school!
My babies are growing up.
Ready to walk in to her new school.
John totally thought it was his first day too.
We had breakfast in the cafeteria before heading to class.
Happy to see our friend and neighbor, Vivian and her little sis, Lucy.
This is the last pic I got. Ella Kate walked right in her class greeted by a super excited Rebecca so I figured it was best to sneak away and not make it a dramatic goodbye.
2nd Day of Kindergarten. She was ready!
This little girl has brought Dave and I such joy since the moment we found out we were expecting! We love you so much Ella Kate and are so proud of you. Excited for her new chapter and all that she will learn and experience.
