Baby Boy is almost 8 months old and crawling

Our sweet little baby boy is almost 8 months old. I am having a really hard time with him growing up so fast. We love him more than words can describe and I am trying to cherish all of his little baby moments.
My house is often a wreck from all the toys, snacks, etc. but I would not trade one minute of our crazy days.

John has been kind of crawling for a few weeks now but as of today he is an official crawling machine . He is up on all 4's and crawling. His crawling is giving Ella Kate a big headache. She keeps saying, "Stop John, don't get all my stuff." She is used to moving her things and then him not being able to get them. This crawling stuff should be interesting. :)

John is now cutting his 5th tooth. He has three bottom teeth and one top tooth already in and the second top tooth is just right there and my guess is that it will break through in the next day or two. John still eats everything. He loves picking up little bites of food and feeding himself however I still can't get him to drink from a sippy cup. Oh well we will just keep working at it. He is still a great sleeper at night and takes 2 good naps a day for me.

This picture is from back in May but I realized I never posted it and I think it is so cute. It was taken at Ella Kate's gymnastics awards day. So cute.

These two love each other.

I love that smile. He is the happiest baby.

My favorite picture.

He loves his Daddy.

I was going to write a little more about my sweet little boy however he is all over the place crawling today so I better go. :)

Pirates and Mermaid Birthday Party

This past Saturday was Ella Kate's big pirate and mermaid 3rd birthday bash. We are so thankful to have so many friends that live close by and I love nothing more than huge birthday parties.

Sweet Angel boy playing before the birthday party.

He is so stinkin cute and handsome.

Ella Kate got a bicycle from Nana for her birthday. She is so excited about really learning how to ride. We are headed to the beach on Wednesday and are planning to take the bike with us so she can get lots of practice.

The awesome pirate ship. That thing really was fun. They delivered it at 8am and we had it until 8pm. I was pretty sad to see it go. Half of it was a bouncy trampoline and the other half a slide. I forgot how much I love jumping on "trampolines." The place we rented it from was so very nice and the guys that delivered it were hilarious. When Ella Kate woke up Sunday morning and looked outside she said, Where is my pirate ship?" I think she thought it was one of her birthday presents.

I was really proud of my balloons. HaHa. Thanks so much Melissa for letting me borrow your balloon structures and teaching me how to make them. Dave is going to have to build me some because I just love these things.

Happy Birthday Ella Kate.

Pirate Swords.

Ok, so I tried to make cookies on a stick. They did not turn out nearly as good as my friend that taught me how but hey I gave it a try :)

Dress up table. Mermaid princess skirts and feather boas for the girls and pirate hats and patches for the boys.

Sweet tired baby John

The cutest little pirate.

Our mermaid and pirate family.

Even John liked to slide.

Ella Kate and sweet Georgia. Georgia is so good to us and an awesome babysitter.

Gigi and Shannon gave Ella Kate this beautiful mermaid dress and shoes. Today I asked Ella Kate to go upstairs and put on the clothes I had laid out for her so that we could go run errands. When I went upstairs to check up on her I found her in this dress sitting at her vanity putting on lipsitck. HaHa. I think she loved it.
