Zoo Day, Burruss Sneak Peak, and Disney on Ice

A couple of Friday's ago we met my good friend Julie and her two precious girls and had a fun day at the zoo. The kids loved playing together and I always love catching up with Julie.

Next comes, Kindergarten preview day at A.L. Burruss.  Dave was very brave and took both Ella Kate and Rebecca to Kindergarten Preview Day.

Next up was Disney on Ice with Mrs. Emmy, Brooks, and Ronnie.  So much fun!  The kids loved it and we had great seats.  Totally worth the $$ to see the look on John and Ella Kate's faces when Lightening McQueen and Ariel came out.  Saturday night after Disney on Ice Dave and I went to a Cinco De Mayo party at one of our good friends and neighbors house and had the best time!  Ella Kate and John were happy to see Mary Ellen, one of their favorite babysitters, and Dave and I had fun walking in the rain with our umbrellas the quarter mile to the party.  Then to top of our weekend we ran in the CURE Childhood Cancer 5K on Sunday morning.  My time was nothing to brag about but I accomplished my goal of finishing under 30 mins. My time was 29:31 so I barely made it - but I made it :)  However Dave blew me out of the water and finished in about 25 mins.

Zoo Day with Mrs. Julie, Caroline and Lauren.  Fun day!!

This child is part monkey

Sweet Caroline and Ella Kate
They loved sitting together on the train ride.

Little Roo.
Love this picture and how sweet they are together.

John really liked this goat.  Love the look on his face.
Caroline and Ella Kate think it is hilarious to hide in the bamboo.  It is one of the highlights of their trips to the zoo together.

Topping off the day with Dippin Dots.  Great day at the zoo.
Can't believe these two will be in Kindergarten next year.
Walking in quite confident to A.L. Burruss.

Yep, I think they are ready for big school :)
Watching the current kindergarteners rehearse their end of the year play.

I hope Burruss is ready for this group of girls.  Whew!!!
Checking out their new classrooms.
I am pretty sure Dave was loosing control at this point :)

All dressed up ready for Disney on Ice.

Love these two!
John was in heaven and hardly moved the whole time.

Great seats.
Brooks was ready with his sword.

Tow-Mater.
So excited!

I thought John might have a heart attack when Lightening came out.  Loved watching his little face.
This part was truly magical for John.  John sleeps, eats, and breathes Lightening McQueen.

Cookie during intermission.  What a fun day!
Mrs. Emmy and her babies.
Sweet boys.
Love all these kiddos!!  They make me so happy!
