Gymnastics, Cooking, and a Sweet Little Boy

Ella Kate, our little gymnast!  Ella Kate took gymnastics this summer and she loved it so much that I signed her up again for the fall.  She has such a great group of little girl friends in her gymnastics class!  Ella Kate loves her extra curricular activities and when I asked her to pick from gymnastics, ballet, swimming, and cheer leading she said, "Mommy, please let's do all of them."  Ohh and I forgot she also wants to do tennis.  Whew!  I am glad she loves her activities but I am trying to stick with only a couple at a time.  This year we are going to do gymnastics and ballet and then soccer in the spring.  I think we will save cheer leading and tennis until next year when she is in Kindergarten :)
Some friends in her gymnastics class!  As Ms. Garrett calls them - The Fab 5!!  They all LOVE LOVE Gabby and talk about her constantly :)
Stretches.
Pretty impressive!  Go Ella Kate!!

 Bar Work.
Ella Kate's first pull up (with a little help :)

The little rascal!  This little boy has the sweetest most mischievous smile :)  He loves cars, trucks, diggers, airplanes (top favorite), balls, dinosaurs, Lightening McQueen, Buzz, and Woody!  He loves to get his Lightening McQueen race car and saw "KerChaw".
 Silly little boy.

Our little future heart breaker.  I love his beautiful blue eyes!

 Crooked grin = trouble
 Future J. Crew model.
 Our little cook.

First Day of School (Pre-K and Toddlers)

This week marks our 4th year at Marietta First Baptist Church's Preschool aka CEE (Center for Early Childhood Education).  Ella Kate started Pre-K and John started older Toddlers.  Ella Kate loves her teacher and it is ridiculous how many friends she has in her class.  Her teacher sent me an email on Friday saying that she is doing great and was the first student in class to learn the name of all her classmates.  Love my little social butterfly :)  John's teacher Ms. Brooke said that John did great too and that he has really bonded with a new little boy in his class.  Proud of these two!  Looking forward to a fun year.  I am the room mom for Ella Kate's class again (yep, I am a sucker but I love it) and I would be for John too but he will not start having room mom's until the 2 year old class.  Don't worry Baby John I will be all over Pinterest next year planning your school holiday parties :)

All ready for their first day of school.

I have to admit even though I love the excitement of school starting I also get a little sad that my babies are growing so fast.  Dave and I cherish every minute with these two.

My little mini me about to start Pre-K!!!!
Sweet Dave took the kids on their first day and I was so proud of him for taking all of these pics in front of their school!  Last year, the first day of school pics that he took left a little to be desired :)  Last year his picture of them was in front of the Big Brown Truck in the parking lot at school.  Not really what I had in mind :)
Big Sis looks a little more excited than little brother.

My favorite picture mostly because Dave said it was impromtu that Ella Kate started buttoning John's button before they walked in!  She really is a good big sis.
Ella Kate could not have better classmates!  And better yet so many of them will be going to Kindergarten at Burris with her next year.
Ella Kate and one of her best buddies, Rebecca, ready for school.

Eating breakfast getting ready for Day 3 of Preschool.  Big Smile and excited to go back.
Trying to get their picture in front of the chuch sign.   I failed to notice the recovery sign I had them posing near :)  HaHa
Love these two.  Please forgive me and know that I was trying to be a good Mom when I let Ella Kate wear twinkle toe tennis shoes with a smocked bishop dress.  The girl loves clothes but her taste is not quite as classic as mine :)  We are learning to compromise with her outfits.

Love that I did not even notice what the sign said :)
Last day of her first week of preschool.  Still smiling and ready to go.
She has the sweetest giggle.

Summer Fun

I was cleaning off one of my memory cards and found some pics that I never posted. So this post is kind of a hodge podge of pictures from this summer.
Ella Kate and John are growing up so very fast and there little personalities keep Dave and I fully entertained.  John has recently learned to say "Kank You" which is the sweetest sound in the world to me.  He is our sweet baby boy and I will refer to him as "Baby John" until he is at least 21 b/c he is my little snuggler and still let's me hold him like a baby and rock him before I put him to bed at night.  He is rough and tough, grunts, loves cars and "Kactor's", and one of his favorite activities is reorganizing Sissy's room.

Anytime we ask Ella Kate where she learned something she puts her hands on her hips and says "Well who wouldn't know it".  It is pretty hilarious to hear her say :)  Both Dave and I are having a hard time with how fast our baby girl is growing up.  She is so much fun but where oh where did our 1st baby go.  I can't believe she is starting Pre-K on Monday.  She will be going to school 4 days a week.  Only until 11:55am but still.  I am looking forward to spending some one on one time with my baby boy but we will miss our Sissy.

And the hodge podge of pictures begins.....

Below are some pics from Camp Gan.  We were so lucky to be invited to Water Day.  The kids loved it :)

Walking down the street from LeLe's to Camp Gan
My boy loves cars.
Ella Kate and Ansley developed a quick friendship.

Love that little stinkers smile.
John's first water balloon.

Hands down our favorite activity of the summer is our almost daily trips to the Lees Crossing Pool.  The Pool is our little happy place.  We meet all of our neighborhood friends there, we have lunch, we have dinner, we let the kids swim until they are exhausted put them in their pj's and take them straight to bed, etc.  We LOVE the LC Pool.  These were a couple of pics before heading to the pool one afternoon.  Walking to the pool while eating ice cream sandwiches means it is going to be a great day.

John saying "Cold" "Cold" while eating his ice cream sandwich.
Harris's 4th Birthday Party!  Harris had the cutest little birthday party last weekend.  It was Olympic themed sporting events.  The kids loved it!  Can't believe Harris and Ella Kate are both 4.
Waiting for a race to begin.
 A boy and a basketball.
 My little soccer star.
Love this picture of Harris and his little cousin, Carson.
Listening to instructions.  John made quick buddies with the two coaches.
Happy Birthday Boy!
