On Day 5 we enjoyed Four Mile Beach in Port Douglas.
I adore him so!
They built sandcastles for hours.
Ohhhh My. This kid. :)
After a full fun day at Four Mile Beach we enjoyed a nice dinner at a rather fancy restaurant in Port Douglas.
Don't they clean up nice! Ella Kate loved this dress that we bought at the Port Douglas Sunday Markets! We loved the Sunday Markets and got lots of souvenirs there including Dave's coveted boomerangs!
Perfect seats with an amazing view.
Dave and I were in heaven with the amazing seafood.
The Next Morning we got up and headed out on the Silversonic Boat for the Reef. Again all of the pics/videos are on the Go Pro to be posted later..... Ahhhh
We snapped a couple of beautiful early morning pics before heading to board the boat.
Excited for a fun day!
The white boat in the picture was our boat for our Second Day on the Reef. We actually stopped at 3 different reefs on this day. The second stop Dave went scuba diving for the first time while the kids and I continued to snorkel. The scuba diving site he choose was called Turtle Bay :) He said it was amazing. Each day on the Reef we kept saying was the best day as it just kept getting better and better the more we learned and explored. Dave scheduled our 3 days on the reef making the first day the easiest (larger boat easier snorkeling), the second day was a little more adventurous, and the third day the most adventurous (smaller boat - more advanced snorkeling). We loved everyday!
Each day as we were traveling out to the reef a marine biologist would give a talk and answer questions about the reef. All of us learned so much! The marine biologists were so cool and spent tons of time with our kids both on the boat and in the water. Ella Kate and John were one of the few kids on the Reef tours and everyone could not get over how brave they were. :) So proud of them!
